Position Summary

The Chamber Manager serves as the lead for membership engagement, business outreach, sponsorship development, networking initiatives, and chamber programming for the Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC). This position focuses on strengthening relationships with local businesses, growing chamber membership, increasing community engagement, supporting sponsorship efforts, and serving as a visible ambassador for the Berwyn business community. Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with chamber members, businesses, sponsors, and community partners.
• Lead membership recruitment, retention, engagement, and business outreach efforts.
• Coordinate networking events, ribbon cuttings, workshops, community initiatives, and chamber programming.
• Develop sponsorship opportunities and support revenue-generating partnerships, advertising, and promotional initiatives.
• Support promotion of chamber programs, businesses, and events through collaboration with the marketing team.
• Maintain membership databases, engagement tracking, event coordination, and organizational records.
• Represent the BDC at networking events, business functions, and community meetings.
• Collaborate across BDC departments to support organizational initiatives, business engagement, and event programming.
• Supervise and provide direction to the Chamber Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, public relations, economic development, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in chamber operations, business development, membership engagement, sponsorship sales, event coordination, community outreach, or related fields preferred.
• Strong networking, relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, partnerships, and events simultaneously.
• Experience with event promotion, social media, community outreach, and business engagement preferred.
• Knowledge of the Berwyn business community and Chicagoland market strongly preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking and writing proficiency preferred.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
